Art in every eye, a tart in every mouth.
Sweet as pie is a small bakery that produces beautiful and artisanal fruit pies and tarts. We are based at the makers landing building at the V&A waterfront in Cape Town.
Founded in 2020 by Zizi Matikiti, Sweet As Pie has come a long way from its beginnings in our home kitchen. When Zizi first started out, her passion for art and food drove her to start her own business to fill a need she had within herself, that she hopes to share with you.
We believe that Food can be Art (Food meets Art) and we strive to create deserts that put a smile on someones face and gives them a bit of relief from this crazy world.
